- Founded by John Norcia in Canton, Ohio in 1971. Relocated in Columbia, SC since 1983
- Family owned and now operated by sons, Mike and Pat Norcia
- RAM works closely with racing teams, particularly those in drag racing where, since 1987, Ram has brought success to dozens of teams at national level.
- Complete in-house machining capabilities (9 CNC machines, 2 Blanchard grinders, 2 balancing tables)
- Produces all flywheels, hydraulic bearings, Billet drag racing clutches and components, Pro Street Dual Disc clutches, and many small parts in-house.
- First to introduce the 3-paddle drag racing clutch with metallic pads (1972), -Patent obtained on 3-paddle design in 1974
- Pioneered and patented the Poly-Coil clutch hub spring (1978) ,which instantly eliminated all broken clutch hub troubles and dramatically increased the capability and the life of the clutch center plate.
- First to develop 6-1/4 inch 'Assault Weapon' circle track clutches – a smaller diameter, quicker accelerating system versus 7 1/4 inch designs of the time.
- Introduced Carbon-Carbon friction technology to professional clutch systems in 1983, which gave racers a softer engagement off the starting line.
- Introduced RAM Coupler for circle track racing in 1984. This unique product weighed 5 pounds and was 4 ¾ in diameter!
- Stand out single disc racing units such as the Red Hat RAM single sintered iron, RAM/Defiant 3 and 6 lever systems, and Lo Pro 10 are now the standard for stick shift drag racing and Drag and Drive applications.
- Many RAM Clutch Kits feature proprietary clutch covers offering consistent static pressures as well as uninterrupted delivery to customers.
- RAM is the only manufacturer still offering Borg & Beck and Long Style clutch covers for replacement and performance applications.
- Innovative street dual disc clutch systems such as the Concept 10.5 and Pro Street incorporate features to provide the best in driveability, durability, and performance.
- Ram Pro Billet drag racing clutch systems have been used by many successful Pro Modified teams, and nearly every Mountain Motor Pro Stock event winner and champion since 1990.
